Platform, one of the oldest forms of gaming. This form of gaming was made famous by the 1981 arcade hit Donkey Kong, which stared Mario (Jump Man at the time), the lovely princes Peach and of course the power house that is Donkey Kong (a.k.a. D.K.). After that more Mario based game came out and more characters were introduced to Platform gaming.

The list for platform games could go on and on: Mario, Sonic the Hedgehog, Donkey Kong, D.K. Jr., Frogger,  Sly Cooper, Ratchet n' Clank, Jak and Daxter, Pitfall, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, like I said, on and on.
